Warranty Information
KitchenAid offers a one-year full warranty and a four-year limited warranty on ceramic cooktops.
Using the Surface Units:
- Push in control knobs before turning to a setting, then set between HI and OFF.
- Touch ON/OFF to turn heating elements on. LO and HI lights will blink. Touch arrow to HI for high power or LO for low power.
- To choose intermediate power levels, touch and hold the arrow pointing to HI, or tap it, to decrease power. Follow the same procedure from LO to increase power.
- Touch ON/OFF to turn elements off individually, or ALL OFF to turn all off at once.
- Electronic touch models have a cooling fan that may run after the cooktop is turned off.
Hot Surface Indicator Lights:
- Lights glow when surface units are hot and remain on until they are cool enough to touch.
Dual-Size Surface Unit:
- Use right rear and left front units as small or large elements.
- Push in knob and turn to "SINGLE" for small element, or "DUAL" for large element.
Ceramic Glass Cooktop:
- Surface cooking area will glow red when element is on.
- Do not cook directly on the cooktop.
- Lift pots and pans onto and off the cooktop.
- Do not use as a cutting board.
Troubleshooting and error codes
