Warranty Information

KitchenAid offers a one-year full warranty and limited warranties up to ten years, covering defects in materials and workmanship.

Starting Your Dryer: Load clothes, close door, turn Cycle Control Knob to desired setting, set Temperature Selector, and push Start Button. The dryer stops automatically when a cycle ends.
Stopping Your Dryer: Open the dryer door or turn the Cycle Control Knob to OFF at any time.
Restarting Your Dryer: Close the door, select a new cycle and temperature if needed, and press the Start Button.
Understanding Cycles: Refer to the charts on pages 7-9 for descriptions of Timed Dry, Quick Press, Automatic cycles (Delicate, Regular/Heavy, Permanent Press/Extra Care), SMOOTH GUARD cycle, and Air Tumble. Use the chart on page 10 to select the right cycle and setting based on your load type.

Troubleshooting and error codes

PROBLEM CHECK IF CAUSES/SOLUTIONS
Dryer will not run Is the power cord plugged in? Is the power cord firmly plugged into a live circuit with proper voltage?
Is lint screen clogged with lint? Has a household fuse blown or circuit breaker tripped? Has a time-delay fuse been used?
Is exhaust duct or outside exhaust hood clogged with lint? Is the dryer door firmly closed?
Have you blown a fuse or tripped the circuit breaker? Did you firmly push the Start Button?
Are the controls set in an ON position?
Dryer will not heat Is the cycle in the last few minutes? (There is no heat during that time.) Has a household fuse blown or circuit breaker tripped? Has a time-delay fuse been used?
If you have a gas dryer, are the valves open on both the dryer and the supply line?
Drying time too long Is your lint screen clean? (See the "Slow drying" section of the table on page 25 for additional information.) Is your exhaust duct or outside exhaust hood clogged with lint?
