Setting up your SPECTRUM System: Follow step-by-step directions in the manual for easy setup. Unpack components carefully and check for damage. If damaged, notify dealer or shipping company immediately. Keep original packaging for transport. Connecting components: Connect speakers first. Use supplied speaker wire or 18-gauge or thicker. Ensure positive (+) and negative (-) connections are matched. Connect other components using provided cables. Connect antennas for optimal FM/AM reception. Plug in power cords for CD player, cassette deck, and receiver. Turn on power via receiver's power switch or remote. Tuning the speakers: Set center speaker mode (Normal, Wideband, or Phantom). Calibrate speaker levels by loading remote batteries, eliminating noise, selecting DOLBY PRO LOGIC, setting volume, and using the TEST TONE button. Adjust balance, center, and surround levels. Adjust delay time for optimal sound blending by measuring distances and setting delay time in DOLBY PRO LOGIC mode.
