1. Initialization
To set initial conditions: Press the [SET] key, then plug in the AC power cord.
To initialize operation: Unplug the power cord, then while holding the "set/demo" key depressed, plug the power cord back in. This resets the microcomputer and returns it to factory settings.
2. Test Modes
Various test modes are available for different sections (CD player, MD player, DECK section). These modes are entered by pressing specific keys while plugging in the AC power cord. Refer to the respective sections (6-4 for CD, 6-3 for MD, 6-2 for DECK) for details on setting, canceling, and operation.
3. Adjustments
Specific adjustments are outlined for the CD player (Page 11) and MD player (Pages 8-10). These include optical pickup adjustments, laser power, focus, and jitter adjustments, requiring specific test discs and equipment.
