Introduction

The PS-30 is a regulated DC power supply designed to match the KENWOOD TS-120S or TS-180S transceiver, providing reliable fixed-station operation. It also offers external output terminals for other equipment (5 A max.).

Cautions

  • Do not short output terminals.
  • Turn the PS-30 ON before the transceiver.
  • Fuses will blow if overloaded.
  • Install in a well-ventilated location with sufficient space.
  • Use the shortest, heaviest DC power cable possible.
  • Ensure operating current is below rated limit when connecting multiple transceivers or for other uses.
  • No-load output voltage is approximately 16V, which is normal.

Installation

Turn the Power Switch OFF before making connections. Connect the AC power cord as shown in Fig. 2. For the TS-120V (10-W model), use the DC cable supplied with the transceiver.

Before Using

Included accessories: Operating manual, Fuses (6A, 4A), Extension feet, Screws. Ensure the correct fuse is installed based on your line voltage.
