  • Basic Operations: Follow on-screen prompts or use the MENU/OK button for initial setup including language and auto program. Navigate menus using ▲/▼/◀/▶ buttons and confirm with MENU/OK.
  • Remote Control: Use the POWER button to turn the TV on/off. Navigate menus, select channels (0-9, -/--), adjust volume, and switch between TV/VIDEO input. The RETURN+ button recalls favorite channels or the previous channel.
  • TV Buttons: The TV has basic controls for power, menu access, channel selection, and volume adjustment.
  • Setup: Connect the aerial and AC power. Insert batteries into the remote. Turn on the TV and follow initial setup prompts.
  • Picture/Sound Settings: Adjust picture settings like COLOUR SYSTEM, PICTURE MODE, BRIGHT, CONTRAST, etc. Select SOUND SYSTEM and AI VOLUME for optimal audio.
  • Advanced Features: Use TELETEXT, set FAVORITE CHANNELS, customize settings like VNR, CHILD LOCK, and OFF TIMER.
  • Channel Presetting: Register channels automatically or manually. Edit the channel list by moving or deleting channels, or inserting new ones.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Solution
No picture, no sound Deactivate BLUE BACK function. Choose appropriate sound system. Check aerial cable and connection.
Snowy picture Check aerial cable and connection. Move interfering devices (amplifiers, computers, hair dryers) away from the TV.
Stripes appear on the picture Interference from other devices or signal reflection. Adjust aerial direction or use a better antenna.
Double-pictures (ghosting) occur Interference from signal reflection. Adjust aerial direction or use a better antenna.
Poor picture Choose appropriate colour system. Adjust COLOUR or BRIGHT settings.
White and bright still image look as if it were coloured Inevitable phenomenon due to picture tube nature; not a malfunction.
Top of the image from software products or video tape is distorted Due to condition of video signal; not a malfunction.
Cannot operate the remote control Replace batteries. Ensure operating within 7 meters of the TV.
Cannot operate menus Press TV/VIDEO to return to TV mode and try menus.
Cannot operate front control buttons Deactivate CHILD LOCK function.
TV is turned off suddenly AUTO SHUT OFF function may be activated. Press POWER button to turn on.
Colour patches appear at the corner of the screen Magnetized device nearby. Keep device apart or use magnetic-shielded speaker.
Image takes a short period to be displayed Image requires time to stabilize; not a malfunction.
TV may emitted crackling sound Sudden change in temperature; not a malfunction. If frequent, contact service.
Feel a slight electric shock when touching the TV screen Static electricity from picture tube; not a malfunction.
