Getting Started

Power

• Charging the Battery Pack: Connect the AC adapter to the camera and an AC outlet. The power/charge lamp blinks during charging.
• Using the Battery Pack: Insert the battery pack firmly into the camera. Maximum continuous recording time for BN-VM200U is 1 hr.
• Using AC Power: Connect the AC adapter to the camera and an AC outlet.

Operation Mode

• Set the power switch to ● or ► to turn on the camera.
• Select the recording/playback mode (Video, Still Image, Voice) using the MODE button.
• Set the recording mode dial to Auto (A) or Manual (M).
• Change the display language via the MENU > DISPLAY > LANGUAGE settings.

Date/Time Settings

• Access DATE/TIME settings via MENU > DISPLAY > CLOCK ADJUST. Input month, day, year, hour, and minute.

Inserting/Removing Media

• CF Card: Ensure power is OFF. Open the battery/CF card cover, push the eject button, insert or remove the CF card, and close the cover.
• SD Card: Ensure power is OFF. Open the SD card cover, insert or remove the SD card, and close the cover. Use the write/erase protection tab to protect files.

Formatting Media

• Format recording media before use via MENU > MEMORY CARD SETTING > FORMAT. Select the slot (CF or SD) and execute.

Selecting Recording Medium

• Select the desired medium via MENU > MEMORY CARD SETTING > IMAGE MODE.

Video Recording & Playback

Video Recording

• Set power switch to ●, press MODE to select video mode, and press the record button to start/stop recording.
• Approximate remaining time is displayed.

Zooming

• Use the zoom lever (T for telephoto, W for wide-angle). Optical zoom is up to 10x. Digital zoom is up to 200x.

Angle Adjustment

• Tilt the lens part up to 45° upward and downward.

Deleting Files

• Press ► during recording mode to delete the most recent file.

Video Playback

• Set power switch to ►, press MODE to select playback, find files on the index screen, and press II to play/pause.
• Use zoom lever for volume control and to return to index screen.

How to Use the Scroll Bar

• Slide zoom lever to W to select scroll bar for finding files quickly.
