Getting Started * Verifying Accessories: Check all included accessories against the list provided. * Turning On/Off: Open the LCD monitor to turn on the unit; close it to turn off. * Charging: Connect the AC adapter to charge the built-in battery. The CHARGE lamp indicates charging status. * Quad Proof: Unit is waterproof, dust-proof, drop-proof, and freeze-proof. Follow underwater usage guidelines carefully. * Grip Adjustment: Adjust the pad and belt for a secure grip. * Attaching Core Filter: Attach core filters to AC adapter and AV cables to reduce interference. * Inserting SD Card: Open terminal cover, then insert SD card in the correct direction. * Using Touch Screen: Operate the unit by tapping or dragging on the LCD monitor. Adjust touch screen sensitivity if needed. Recording * Auto Mode: Camera automatically adjusts settings. Select i.A. (Intelligent Auto) mode. * Recording Modes: Switch between Video/Still Image modes, and select recording modes like i.A. or Manual. * Recording Indications: Monitor display icons for video quality, time, effects, battery, etc. Playback * Playback Screens: View recorded videos or still images on the LCD monitor or TV. * Index Screen: Browse recorded files via thumbnails. * Playback Operations: Use playback buttons for play, pause, zoom, delete, etc. Settings Menu * Access various settings for recording, playback, Wi-Fi, setup, and connections via the MENU button. Troubleshooting and error codes

Issue Possible Cause Solution
Unable to turn on the power. Battery power is low. Charge the battery for more than 40 minutes. If the unit still does not turn on, reset it.
Charging battery is not possible. Incorrect temperature range (below 10°C or above 35°C). Charge within the recommended temperature range.
Remaining battery display is not correct. Extended use in extreme temperatures or repeated charging. If battery life is significantly reduced, it may need replacement.
Battery runs out quickly even after charging. Battery performance drops temporarily in cold temperatures (-10°C to 0°C). Battery may need replacement. Avoid extreme cold. If problem persists, consult JVC service center for battery replacement.
Recording cannot be performed. Incorrect recording mode or SD card setting. Check the button and set to recording mode. Ensure REC MEDIA setting is correct.
Recording stops automatically. Exceeded 12 consecutive hours of recording or unit overheating. Turn off the unit, wait, and turn it back on. It stops to protect the circuit when temperature rises.
Continuous shooting speed of still images is slow. Repeated use of the function, SD card speed, or recording conditions. Use a high-speed SD card (Class 4 or higher). Check recording conditions.
Focus is not adjusted automatically. Dark place, low contrast subject, or dirty lens. Adjust focus manually. Clean the lens. Cancel manual focus if used.
Zoom does not work. Digital zoom not available in certain modes (still image, time-lapse). Set "ZOOM" in the menu accordingly.
Mosaic-type noise occurs. Fast movements or extreme brightness changes. Set "VIDEO QUALITY" to "UXP" or "XP".
Inside of the lens is foggy. Condensation due to temperature rise during recording. Open terminal cover, close LCD monitor, and leave unit to reduce temperature.
Cannot insert the SD card. Incorrect insertion direction or using unsupported card type (miniSD/microSD). Insert card in the correct direction. Use compatible SD/SDHC/SDXC cards.
Unable to copy to SD card. Incorrect REC MEDIA setting or SD card write-protected. Set REC MEDIA correctly. Release write protection on SD card. Format SD card if necessary.
Sound or video is interrupted. Interruption at connecting section between scenes. This is not a malfunction.
There is no sound. Silent mode is on or operation sound is set to OFF. Turn off Silent mode. Set "OPERATION SOUND" to "ON".
Same image displayed for a long time. Slow SD card or dirty terminals. Use a high-speed SD card. Clean terminals. Format SD card.
Motion is choppy. Slow SD card or dirty terminals. Use a high-speed SD card. Clean terminals. Format SD card. Verify PC system requirements.
Cannot find a recorded file. Incorrect playback media selected or file management issue. Tap SD to change playback media. Select "PLAYBACK OTHER FILE".
Images do not appear on TV properly. Connection issue or unit requires reset. Disconnect and reconnect HDMI cable. Reset the unit.
Images projected vertically on TV. Incorrect VIDEO OUTPUT setting. Set "VIDEO OUTPUT" to "4:3". Adjust TV screen.
Image displayed on TV is too small. Incorrect VIDEO OUTPUT setting. Set "VIDEO OUTPUT" to "16:9".
When connected to TV via HDMI, displays are slow. TV compatibility. This is normal and not a malfunction.
Touch screen does not work. Fingernails, gloves, or SCREEN LOCK enabled. Use fingertip. Disable SCREEN LOCK.
Image is grainy. Digital zoom used. Digital zoom enlarges the image, making it appear grainy.
Unit heats up. Normal operation when used for a long time. Stop use if it gets too warm.
Language on display changed. Connected to TV with different language setting via HDMI. Check TV connection settings.
HDMI-CEC functions do not work properly. TV compatibility. Set "HDMI CONTROL" to "OFF".
Unit operates slowly. Too many recorded files. Copy files to computer and delete from unit.
Unit does not function properly and error messages appear. Electrostatic discharge, noise, or interference. Close monitor, remove AC adapter, and reset unit.
CHARGE lamp and POWER/ACCESS lamp blinking, operation disabled. Internal malfunction. Reset unit. If problem persists, contact JVC dealer.
SET DATE/TIME! Clock reset due to battery depletion. Set the clock after charging the battery.
COMMUNICATION ERROR USB connection issue. Reconnect USB cable. Turn devices off/on and reset unit.
FORMAT ERROR! Incorrect operating procedure. Check procedure and perform again. Reset unit.
ERROR IN BUILT-IN MEMORY! Problem with internal memory. Reset unit. If problem persists, back up files and format built-in memory.
MEMORY CARD ERROR! Unsupported card, dirty terminals, or unformatted card. Check card compatibility. Reset unit. Remove/re-insert card. Clean terminals. Format SD card.
NOT FORMATTED SD card not formatted. Select "OK" and "YES" to format the card.
RECORDING FAILURE Internal issue. Reset unit.
CANNOT TAKE MORE STILL IMAGES AT THIS TIME Video recording is in progress. Stop video recording before taking still images.
PLAYBACK FAILED SD card issue. Remove/re-insert card, clean terminals, insert before powering on. Avoid impact.
UNSUPPORTED SCENE! / UNSUPPORTED FILE! File recorded on other devices. Use files recorded with this unit only.
THIS FILE IS PROTECTED File protection is enabled. Switch off the "PROTECT/CANCEL" function in the "EDIT" menu.
CHECK CARD'S WRITE PROTECTION SWITCH SD card is write-protected. Set the write protect switch of the SD card to off.
INSUFFICIENT AVAILABLE SPACE No free space on built-in memory or SD card. Delete files, move files to computer, or use a new SD card. Ensure sufficient space before combining.
RECORDABLE MANAGEMENT CAPACITY LEVEL HAS BEEN REACHED Reached storage capacity limit. Move files to computer. Format the built-in memory or SD card.
SCENE QUANTITY EXCEEDED LIMIT Exceeded scene limit. Move files to computer. Format the built-in memory or SD card.
NUMBER OF FOLDERS OVERFLOW Exceeded folder limit. Move files to computer. Format the built-in memory or SD card.
FILE QUANTITY LIMIT EXCEEDED Exceeded file limit. Move files to computer. Format the built-in memory or SD card.
NO FILES Incorrect media setting or no files on selected media. Change "REC MEDIA" setting and check files.
RECORDING CANCELLED Incorrect media setting. Set "REC MEDIA FOR VIDEO" to "SD CARD" and record. Reset unit. Protect from shock.
DATA RECORDED FILE IS TOO SMALL TO BE SAVED (CONTINUE RECORDING?) Time-lapse recording stopped too early. Ensure sufficient recording time for saving.
CAMERA TEMPERATURE IS HIGH PLEASE TURN CAMERA OFF TO ALLOW IT TO COOL DOWN PLEASE WAIT Unit has overheated. Turn off the unit and let it cool down before turning it back on.
