Troubleshooting and error codes

Issue Solution
Unable to turn on the power when using the battery pack. Recharge the battery pack. Check terminals for dirt. Use only JVC battery packs.
Short usage time even after charging. Battery deterioration may occur. Replace with a new battery pack.
Unable to charge the battery pack. Check terminals for dirt. Use an original AC adapter.
Remaining battery display is not correct. May occur due to prolonged use in extreme temperatures or repeated charging.
Recording cannot be performed. Set to recording mode using the (Play/Record) button. Adjust settings manually if needed, especially in complex lighting conditions.
Recording stops automatically. This can happen after 12+ consecutive hours of recording. Turn off, wait, and turn on again. It may also stop to protect the circuit due to overheating.
The focus is not adjusted automatically. Adjust focus manually in dark places or low-contrast subjects. Clean the lens. Cancel manual focus in the recording menu.
Zoom does not work. Zoom is not available in time-lapse recording. Use digital zoom settings in the menu.
Mosaic-type noise occurs during fast movements or brightness changes. Set "VIDEO QUALITY" to "UXP" or "XP".
Cannot insert the SD card. Ensure the card is inserted in the correct direction.
Unable to copy to SD card. Format the SD card using "FORMAT SD CARD" from media settings if it was used on other devices.
Sound or video is interrupted. Interruption at connecting sections between scenes is normal.
There is no sound. Audio is not recorded in "TIME-LAPSE RECORDING".
The same image is displayed for a long time. Replace the SD card. Format the SD card. Verify PC system requirements for playback.
The motion is choppy. Replace the SD card. Format the SD card. Verify PC system requirements for playback.
Cannot find a recorded file. Cancel date search. Select "PLAYBACK OTHER FILE" to play back files with defective management information.
No date/time display. Set "ON-SCREEN DISPLAY" and "DISPLAY ON TV" in the menu.
Images do not appear on the TV properly. Disconnect and reconnect cables. Power cycle the unit.
Images are projected vertically on the TV. Set "VIDEO OUTPUT" to "4:3". Adjust TV screen settings.
The image displayed on TV is too small. Set "VIDEO OUTPUT" to "16:9".
When connected via HDMI mini cable, proper images/sounds are not output. Reconnect HDMI cable. Power cycle the unit.
