System Overview

The 7845GSM/7845GSMCN Digital Cellular Communicator (7845GSM) is a state-of-the-art communication device for security systems. It transmits alarm reports and enables upload/download capabilities for compatible Honeywell control panels via the AlarmNet-G network, utilizing GSM technology. If the GPRS network is unavailable, it can send transmissions via SMS. The device offers quick connection to Honeywell control panels, simple programming via a 7720P tool, and reporting of fire, burglary, and status messages.

Modes of Operation

The 7845GSM supports four modes:

  • ECP Mode: For Honeywell controls supporting LRR-ECP communication. Connects to keypad terminals for 2-way ECP communication.
  • Zone Trigger Mode: For controls not supporting LRR-ECP or 4204 Relay Modules. Provides six input zones configurable for various trigger types.
  • 4204 Mode: For controls not supporting LRR-ECP but supporting 4204 Relay Modules. Acts as a 4204 Relay Module.
  • Two-4204 Mode: Similar to 4204 mode but supports up to eight zone inputs, acting as two 4204 modules.

Module Supervision

The 7845GSM provides network communication failure monitoring, communication path failure detection, and a fault output terminal for module fault conditions. It also monitors for power loss, low battery, and cover tamper conditions.
