Microwave Cooking

Microwave cooking is faster than conventional methods. Ensure food is fully cooked, but avoid overcooking. Stir food from the outside inwards for even heating. Arrange individual food items evenly on the turntable. Turn larger foods like roasts and poultry during cooking for even results. Meat and poultry may brown naturally. Aluminium foil can be used to shield delicate parts of food from overcooking.

Grill and Combination Cooking

The grill function provides browning and crisping. Combination cooking blends microwave and grill power for faster cooking with browning.

Defrosting

Defrost food by weight or time. Turn food over periodically for even thawing. Drain liquids as they can cook the food.

Auto Cooking

Select food category and weight for automatic cooking programs.

Quick Start

Provides 60 seconds of cooking at 100% power with each press, up to 95 minutes.

Clock Setting

Set the clock to ensure accurate timing for cooking programs.

Child Lock

Activates a lock to prevent accidental operation.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Q.A.
Why doesn't the food seem to cook? Check that the cooking time has been set, the door is closed, and the power socket is not overloaded.
Why does the food seem undercooked or overcooked? Check that the correct cooking time and power setting have been used.
How can I stop eggs from popping? Pierce the yolk with a toothpick before cooking. Never cook eggs in their shells.
Why is it so important that I allow standing time after cooking? Foods continue to cook internally, allowing the center to cook without overcooking the outside.
Why does my oven sometimes take longer to cook than it says in the recipe? Cooking times are suggestions; factors like food weight, size, shape, and temperature affect cooking duration. Use judgment.
Why do I get condensation on the inside of the oven door? Condensation is normal, especially with high moisture content foods like potatoes.
Does the microwave energy get through the window on the door? No, a special metal screen stops microwave energy from escaping.
Steam comes out of the side of the door and vents. Can microwave energy get out too? No, vents are designed to let steam out while keeping microwave energy in.
What happens if the microwave is switched on while the oven is empty? The microwave will be damaged. Keep a cup of water inside to prevent accidental activation.
Why doesn't the oven light illuminate? The bulb may have blown. Call a qualified repairer; do not change the bulb yourself.
There are sparks inside the oven when I use the microwave. Will this cause any damage? Yes. Ensure no metal utensils or containers with metal trim are used, except for foil.
Light is showing through the vents and door. Does this mean the microwave energy can escape? No, this is normal and does not indicate energy escape.
Why do I get interference on my TV and radio when I use the microwave? Microwaves use radio waves. Move the microwave further away from the TV or radio to lessen interference.
