Troubleshooting and error codes

Flow Chart No. Problem Troubleshooting Steps
Power cannot be turned on. Check fuse (Flow Chart 2). Check for leaks/shorts in primary circuit. Check secondary rectifying circuits.
Fuse blows out. Check for leaking/shorted primary components. Check for shorted rectifying diode/circuit on secondary side.
Output voltage fluctuates. Check photo coupler circuit. Check IC1001, D1012, D1024.
Buzz sound near power circuit. Check IC1001, IC1006, D1015, D1048. Check for short-circuits in secondary rectifying circuits.
-FL is not outputted. Check -24V to D1003 anode. Check D1003 and periphery.
P-ON+9V (EV+9V) is not outputted. Check 9V to Q1002 emitter. Check Q1002 base voltage. Check D1030, D1048, C1035, C1048. Check Q1016 and PWRCON line.
P-ON+5V is not outputted. Check "H" pulse to Q1004 base. Check R1068 and D1046.
P-ON+3.3V (EV+3.3V) is not outputted. Check 3.3V to Q1011 collector. Check D1008, D1015, C1007, C1038.
EV+5V is not outputted. Check if EV+9V is outputted normally. Check D1047 and periphery.
EV+1.5V is not outputted. Check 2.5V to IC1002 Pin(1). Check D1006, C1014, C1050.
Fluorescent display tube does not light up. Check 3.3V to IC2001 pins. Check -24V to -28V to IC2001 Pin(15). Check 500kHz oscillation at IC2001 Pin(26). Check filament voltage. Replace display tube.
Key operation is not functioning. Check key switch contacts and installation. Check voltage change when pressing switches. Replace IC2001.
No operation from remote control unit. Check 5V to remote receiver Pin(3). Check "L" pulse from receiver Pin(1). Check "L" pulse to CN1001 Pin(22). Replace receiver or remote.
Disc tray cannot be opened/closed (using unit buttons). Check voltage at IC2001 Pin(4) when pressing OPEN/CLOSE. Refer to Flow Chart 15. Replace OPEN/CLOSE button.
Disc tray cannot be opened/closed. Replace DVD Main CBA. If unresolved, replace DVD Mecha. If still unresolved, original CBA is poor.
[No Disc] (Focus error occurs). Replace DVD Main CBA. If unresolved, replace DVD Mecha. If still unresolved, original CBA is poor.
[No Disc] (Focus servo not functioning). Replace DVD Main CBA. If unresolved, replace DVD Mecha. If still unresolved, original CBA is poor.
[No Disc] (Laser beam does not light up). Replace DVD Main CBA. If unresolved, replace DVD Mecha. If still unresolved, original CBA is poor.
Picture and sound do not operate normally. Replace DVD Main CBA. If unresolved, replace DVD Mecha. If still unresolved, original CBA is poor.
Picture does not appear normally. Set disc and playback. Check video signals to CN1601 and IC1402. Check output signals from IC1402. Check output terminals. Check 5V to IC1402.
Audio is not outputted. Set disc and playback. Check analog audio signals to CN1601 and IC1201. Check mute signal to CN1601. Check output signals to terminal.
