The AF-400 drive is an adjustable frequency AC motor drive designed for industrial applications. It allows for single or multi-motor operation from a single power unit. Motor speed is adjusted by changing both motor frequency and voltage. The drive consists of several modules including a Converter Module, DC Link Filter, Inverter Modules, Commutation Power Supply, System Control, and Driver Module. Installation involves proper location, mounting, and electrical wiring. Start-up and check-out procedures include safety precautions, continuity tests, and setting up driver selections and jumpers. Adjustments and troubleshooting guides are also provided within the manual.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Fault Indication Troubleshooting Steps
Phase Sequence/Loss of Phase PS/LOP light Check AC supply voltage at L1, L2, L3. If voltage is correct, phase sequence is wrong. Disconnect AC power, interchange any two cables, repeat steps 5 and 6.
Fan Failure Tthroughswitch opens; Overtemperature condition Check for 115V AC at TB1(AC3) and TB1(AC2).
Inverter Frequency Light blinking rapidly Indicates fault Refer to the Troubleshooting Section.
Inverter Fault IOC light Immediate drive shutdown. Caused by short circuit in phase module.
Control Undervoltage CUV light Immediate drive shutdown. Caused by low main +20 volt control voltage.
Commutation Overcurrent COC light Immediate drive shutdown. Caused by excessive commutation current or circuit misoperation.
DC Link Overvoltage LOV light Immediate drive shutdown.
Inverter Overfrequency IOF light Drive shutdown to prevent motor overspeed. Trip level selectable.
