ISSUE SOLUTION
NO DIALING SIGNAL Verify that the dialing mode in the programming menu is set to Tone. This setting may not be compatible with your local dialing service.
PHONE DOES NOT RING Ensure the ring selector is not set to OFF. Avoid using too many telephones on the same line, as the total REN must not exceed the regional maximum. Check that the handset hook switch is fully engaged when the handset is on the base.
LOW VOICE VOLUME (CALLER AND CALLED) Check if other phones are off-hook simultaneously. This is normal as volume decreases when multiple phones are in use.
TONE FLUCTUATION IN PULSE DIALING MODE This is normal; current fluctuates when the phone is dialing.
NO DIALING SIGNAL Verify the dialing mode in the programming menu. If set to Tone, it may not be compatible with your local dialing service.
NO DISPLAY Replace batteries. Check battery installation.
NO INFORMATION DISPLAYED WHEN PHONE RINGS Ensure you have subscribed to caller display service from your phone company. Wait until after the second ring before answering.
ERROR MESSAGE DISPLAYED An ERROR message indicates that the device detected something other than valid caller information after the first ring. This may be due to line noise or an invalid message from the phone company.
PHONE DOES NOT DIAL Check the dialing mode in the programming menu. If set to Tone, it might not be compatible with your local dialing service.
