FUJIFILM warrants the Media to be free from defects in material and workmanship for ninety (90) days from the date of receipt.

Getting Ready

  • Charging the Battery: Ensure the battery is fully charged before use. Load it into the charger and plug into a power outlet. The indicator lights orange during charging and turns off when complete (approx. 2 hours).
  • Loading the Battery: Open the battery cover, align the battery with the indicators, push the battery release catch, and insert the battery. Close the cover securely.
  • Loading the Memory Card: Open the battery cover and insert the xD-Picture Card or SD Memory Card into the slot, ensuring correct orientation. Close the battery cover. SD cards must be unlocked. Format new or previously used SD cards on the camera.
  • Turning On and Off: Press the POWER/ON/OFF button to turn the camera on in Shooting mode. Press again to turn off. In Playback mode, press the power button for 1 second to turn on, and press again to turn off.
  • Setting Language, Date, and Time: Upon first use, set the language, date, and time. Navigate through the menus using the arrow buttons and confirm with MENU/OK. Change the date format as needed.

Using the Camera

  • Taking Pictures (AUTO Mode): Frame your subject and press the shutter button halfway to focus and set exposure. Press fully to take the picture.
  • Taking Pictures with Focus and Exposure Locked: Frame your subject, press the shutter button halfway to lock focus and exposure, then recompose and press fully to take the shot.

Troubleshooting and error codes

General Camera does not turn on. Battery is exhausted. Charge the battery or replace it with a fully charged spare.
Picture is blurry. Camera shake. Hold the camera steady or use a tripod. Use Optical Image Stabilization if available.
Cannot record images. Memory card is full or locked. Replace or format the memory card, or unlock the write-protect switch on the SD card.
Flash does not fire. Flash is recharging or disabled. Wait for the flash to recharge or enable the flash setting.
Playback Cannot view images. No images are stored on the memory card or internal memory. Record images to the camera.
Privacy Policy
