Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Scanner Does Not Turn On or Turns Off Unexpectedly The AC adapter is not plugged in or is loose. Plug the AC adapter into a working electrical outlet. Ensure the power cord is securely connected to the scanner and the AC adapter.
Scanner Button Does Not Work as Expected Scanner is in sleep mode or powered off. Press the power button to wake the scanner or turn it on.
Scanning Software Does Not Operate Correctly Software is not installed correctly or is outdated. Reinstall the Epson Scan 2 software or update to the latest version from the Epson website.
