Warranty Information

Electrolux provides a limited warranty for parts and labor for one year, with extended coverage for specific components.

  • Installation: Place near a grounded outlet, ensure adequate air circulation (3 inches on all sides), and level the unit.
  • Temperature Control: Factory preset, but adjustable. Turn towards COLD-EST for colder temperatures.
  • Cool Down Period: Allow 4 hours for the freezer to cool completely before loading food.
  • Loading: Freeze no more than 3 pounds of fresh food per cubic foot at a time.
  • Care and Cleaning: Clean interior and exterior with mild detergent and warm water. Do not use harsh cleaners or abrasive pads. Unplug before cleaning.
  • Vacation/Moving: For short vacations, leave the freezer running. For long vacations, remove food and unplug. When moving, disconnect power, remove food, secure items, and transport upright.

Troubleshooting and error codes

OCCURRENCE SOLUTION
Freezer Does Not Run. Check for plugged-in status, ground fault interrupt, loose plug, blown fuse/tripped breaker, or power outage.
Freezer Runs Too Much or Too Long. Consider room/outside temperature, recent large warm food loads, frequent lid openings, or a misaligned lid seal. Adjust temperature control if set too cold.
Temperature Inside Freezer is Too Cold. Adjust temperature control to a warmer setting.
Temperature Inside Freezer is Too Warm. Adjust temperature control to a colder setting. Consider frequent lid openings, recent warm food loads, or if the freezer was recently disconnected.
Temperature of External Freezer Surface is Warm. Normal operation while the compressor transfers heat.
Louder Sound Levels Whenever Freezer is ON. Normal operation, especially in quieter environments.
Louder Sound Levels When Compressor Comes ON. Normal operation during higher pressure at the start of the cycle.
Popping or Cracking Sound When Compressor Comes ON. Normal due to metal expansion and contraction.
Bubbling or Gurgling Sound, Like Water Boiling. Normal refrigerant circulation.
Vibrating or Rattling Noise. Ensure the freezer is level, the floor is adequate, and the freezer is not touching walls.
Moisture Forms On Inside Freezer Walls. Normal in hot, humid weather. Ensure lid is not slightly open or kept open too long.
Moisture Forms On Outside of Freezer. Ensure lid is slightly open, causing condensation. See "Lid Problems".
Odor In Freezer. Clean the interior. Ensure foods with strong odors are tightly covered.
Lid Problems. Ensure the freezer is level, the floor is adequate, and the lid is properly sealing.
Light Bulb is Not On. Check if bulb is burned out or if there is no electrical current reaching the freezer.
