Powering On the Device

The device powers on automatically when plugged in or by pressing and holding the Multifunction button until the LEDs activate.

Loop Recordings

The camera continuously overwrites the oldest footage. To protect a clip, press the Multifunction button to move it to the locked content partition.

Emergency Recordings

Triggered by the Multifunction button or G-Sensor impact. Creates locked files that are not overwritten. Adjacent recordings are also locked if the incident occurs within 30 seconds of a clip's start or end.

Micro SD Memory Card

Comes with an 8GB MicroSD card. Supports up to 128GB. Format the card in-camera before use. Class 10 high-endurance cards are recommended.

Volume Adjust

Adjust volume via the settings menu on LCD models or through the Drive Smarter Mobile App.

Voice Announcements

The SC 100 provides voice alerts for red-light/speed cameras, police, radar, and other important information via the mobile app.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Issue Troubleshooting Steps
Unit not powering up Ensure proper connection. If off, press and hold the power button. If using Parking Mode/Motion Detection with a hardwire kit, drive to wake the unit.
Cabin interior recordings are black and white This is normal for Infrared LED night-vision. Infrared recording captures low-light conditions. You can turn it off in the settings.
Using Parking Mode and Motion Detection Turn on in settings. Requires hardwire kit (CA-MICROUSB-001) or 'always on' cigarette lighter socket. Unit enters low-power 'standby' and wakes on motion/driving.
No GPS Lock (GPS icon is red) GPS locks best on the road. May not get a lock in garages, parking structures, or at home.
