To operate the CASIO QV-70: 1. **Loading Batteries:** Ensure the camera is off. Slide the battery compartment cover, insert three AA-size Alkaline or Lithium batteries (+/- aligned correctly), and close the cover. 2. **Power On/Off:** Slide the POWER switch. It automatically returns to the OFF position. 3. **Recording Images:** Set the function switch to REC. Press the shutter button to take a picture. Use the NORMAL/MACRO switch for different shooting distances. 4. **Playback:** Set the function switch to PLAY. Use [+] and [-] buttons to scroll through images. 5. **Connecting Devices:** Use the VIDEO OUT terminal for TVs or video tape decks, and the DIGITAL terminal for computers or printers, using appropriate cables. 6. **Troubleshooting:** Consult the table for issues like 'No power', 'Memory Full', or 'Exposure Warning'.

Recorded image has greenish tinge. Strong direct or reflected sunlight Change aperture setting to [] (F8). Note that this condition is due to CCD characteristics, and does not indicate camera malfunction.
Part of the image is missing. 1. Blocking of the lens when recording. 1. Hold the camera correctly, making sure that your finger or the wrist strap is not blocking the lens.
  2. Failure to correctly center the object when aiming through the viewfinder. 2. Take particular care under the following conditions, which can cause the recorded image to be slightly different from the image that appears in the viewfinder.
Macro photography For more precise image composition, use the LCD monitor screen instead of the viewfinder. Aiming at an angle that is diagonal to the viewfinder's optical axis. It is best to point the lens directly at the subject, and not at an angle.
Color of recorded image is strange. 1. Reflection from sunlight or light from another source 1. Reorient the camera so that light is not shining directly into lens.
  2. Difference between Record Mode and Playback Mode characteristics. 2. This difference does not indicate a problem or malfunction.
No [+]/[-] button operation during multi-page display Wait until an image is on the LCD before performing a button operation.  
Cannot start auto play operation Only one image in camera memory. Auto play can be used only when there are two or more images in camera memory.
All pages do not appear during auto play. Protected memory pages are hidden. Unhide protected memory pages (page 47).
  Camera is connected to a TV, but LCD monitor contents do not appear on TV screen. 1. Set function switch to PLAY (page 32).
2. Connect correctly using the special video cable that comes with the camera (page 34).
3. Select the correct channel for video playback. See the TV's user documentation for details.
Some images are missing. Protected memory pages are hidden. Unhide protected memory pages by holding down [-] while turning power on (page 47).

Delete operation does not start when DEL is pressed. 1. All pages are protected.

All buttons and switches do not operate. Malfunction due to static electrical charge or strong impact Remove batteries and disconnect the AC adaptor if you are using one. Restore power and turn the camera on. If this does not work, contact your dealer or an authorized CASIO service provider.
Very bright or very dark LCD image Wrong BRIGHT setting Adjust the BRIGHT setting (page 11).
No buttons or switches operate. Malfunction due to exposing camera to electrostatic charge. Remove batteries and/or unplug the AC adaptor. Reload batteries and/or plug in AC adaptor and try operation again.

Keys of connected camera are disabled. Connected camera operation is disabled during data communications. Normal operation will return when you exit data communications by pressing EXIT.
