- Charging the Battery: Ensure the battery is fully charged before first use. Align the battery's positive and negative terminals with the charger unit, plug into a household outlet, and wait for the [CHARGE] lamp to go out (approx. 150 minutes).
- Loading the Battery: Open the battery cover, slide the battery in with the EXILIM logo facing upwards, and ensure the stopper secures it.
- Turning On/Off: Press the [ON/OFF] button to turn the camera on.
- Basic Settings: Upon first use, configure display language, date, and time settings.
- Taking a Snapshot: Frame your shot, half-press the shutter button to focus, then fully press to capture the image.
- Recording Movies: Press the [●] (Movie) button to start and stop recording.
- Viewing Images: Press the [] (PLAY) button to review captured photos and movies.
- Memory Cards: Use SD or SDHC memory cards. Ensure they are formatted correctly before use.
- Troubleshooting: Refer to the "When things don't go right..." section for solutions to common problems like date/time display errors, language issues, or transfer problems.
