Loading the Camera

Preliminary steps: Ensure the starting button is on "Stop", lever 12 is on "Motor", and the speed control is set to 16 pictures per second. Rewind the motor fully. Remove the lid by turning button 43 counter-clockwise. Push down lever 37 to close loop guides. Ensure film guides and pad are correctly positioned. Place the film spool on the top spindle (29), ensuring the film unwinds clockwise. Cut the film end to the correct shape using knife 41 and blade 42.

Automatic Loading: Introduce the film into the mechanism through opening 30. Press button 21 to start the motor. Push the film through until it reaches sprocket 32, then through the gate and loop guide 39, emerging at sprocket 38. Stop the mechanism by releasing button 21. Push up lever 37 to open loop guides. Restart the motor until about 8-10 inches of film emerges from sprocket 38. Insert the film end into the take-up spool core, wind it around the core, and place it on spindle 40. Run the mechanism briefly to ensure loops are correct and film winds onto the take-up spool. Check loop guides are open and spools are properly placed. Replace the camera lid and lock it by turning button 43 clockwise. If loading is incorrect, rewind and reload.

Transport of the Film

Counter: The counter (15) automatically resets to zero when the camera lid is removed. It functions only when the lid is in place. Set the mechanism in motion until '0' appears on the counter. The counter adds film used and subtracts film rewound. It registers film exposed to within 4 inches.

Speeds:

Button 19 allows speed alteration from 8 to 64 pictures per second. Do not exceed 32 pictures per second unless the camera is loaded. Normal speed is 16 pictures per second. Slower speeds create accelerated motion, faster speeds create slow-motion.

Starting the mechanism:

Press button 21 to start; it stops when released. For continuous running, move lateral button 22 to "M"; move to "Stop" to halt.
