Warranty Information

Paillard S. A. cannot guarantee each detail of the appearance and characteristics of the equipment described in this manual.

  • Winding: Lift the winding key and move it back and forth until a definite stopping point is reached. The motor is now fully wound and will run off about 7 ft. of film, giving approximately 31 seconds of filming at 18 frames per second.
  • Loading Film: Open the camera, unwind about 10 inches of film, slip the full spool on its spindle, guide the film through the gate, close the pressure-pad, insert the empty spool, and wind 2 to 3 turns of film onto it.
  • Filming Speeds: The speed control dial has seven settings: 12, 16, 18, 24, 32, 48, and 64 frames per second. 18 f.p.s. is the standard. Slower speeds create accelerated motion, and higher speeds create slow motion.
  • Variable Shutter: Adjust by reducing the opening angle to reduce exposure time. It can be moved while filming or locked in open or half-closed positions.
  • Exposure Meter: Use the index number calculator and transfer the reading to the exposure meter dial. Press the cell control trigger to compute the correct exposure, then adjust the lens aperture ring until the mobile needle aligns with the guide-mark.
