Starting Your Freezer

  1. Ensure the front feet are adjusted for a level appliance.
  2. Check the interior is dry and allows air circulation.
  3. Clean the interior as per instructions.
  4. Plug in and switch on the electricity. The green light should glow, and the compressor will start within five minutes.
  5. Normal operating noises from the compressor and refrigeration system are expected.
  6. If storing frozen food, ensure the fast-freeze button is OFF and the temperature reaches -18°C or below.
  7. For freezing fresh food, press the fast-freeze button (amber light on) at least three hours beforehand.
  8. Front edges may feel warm; this is normal and prevents condensation.
  9. Set the thermostat to MIN initially and monitor temperature.

Temperature Control and Adjustment

Use the thermostat knob (MIN to MAX) to set temperatures between -18°C and -24°C. The ideal storage temperature is -18°C. Fluctuations are normal, especially after opening the door. Ensure the door is closed immediately after use.

Storing Frozen Food

Store commercially frozen food according to package instructions. Put food in the freezer quickly after purchase and adhere to 'Use By' dates.

Freezing Fresh Food

The freezing capacity is 10 kg (22 lb) per 24 hours. For large amounts, activate the fast-freeze button 8 hours in advance. Freeze fresh food in suitable packaging.

Making Ice Cubes

Fill ice-cube trays 3/4 full with water and place them on the Ice Bank.

Defrosting

The appliance defrosts automatically. Defrost water drains and evaporates.
