Getting Started:

  • Installation: Insert the CD-ROM, follow on-screen instructions to install the software and drivers. Restart your computer.
  • Connecting the Camera: Use the USB cable or serial cable to connect the camera to your PC.
  • Taking Photos: Press the mode button to turn on the camera. Use the viewfinder to frame your shot and press the shutter button.
  • Using Software: Launch PhotoFantasy for image editing and role-playing, PhotoPrinter for printing, or AVI Creator for video conversion from the Digital Camera Suite.
  • Uploading Photos: Connect the camera to your PC and use the software to transfer photos.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Issue Solution
PC does not recognize the camera (USB). Close the Acquire dialog panel and reopen it. Ensure the USB cable is properly connected.
Black strips in photos (under lamps). Adjust the camera's AC mains frequency setting or avoid using lamps as light sources. Sunlight is unaffected.
Camera turns off automatically. This is a battery-saving feature. Press the 'Mode' button to power on. Remove batteries only for long periods of non-use.
LCD blinking. Low battery. Upload photos and replace batteries. You can still take up to 20 photos.
Not recommended to use rechargeable batteries. Alkaline batteries provide better performance and voltage.
PC cannot recognize camera in Photo program. Disconnect and reconnect the USB cord.
Camera does not function in dark environment ('Gi' sound). Use a spotlight or fluorescent lamp for adequate lighting.
Cannot take a photo immediately after power on. The camera takes about 2 seconds to initialize. Wait for the picture count to appear.
Monitor color not vivid. Adjust monitor gamma or use the Photo Studio's gamma adjustment feature.
Camera appears locked up (counter stuck at '20' or '80'). Replace batteries. If the issue persists, try opening and closing the battery door.
