Shooting in Auto Mode

Auto mode is the easiest way to take photos. The camera automatically optimizes settings for best results.

  1. Press Power to turn on the camera.
  2. Press the Mode button to select Automatic mode (AUTO icon).
  3. Compose your shot and press the Shutter button halfway to focus.
  4. A green focus frame will appear when the subject is in focus.
  5. Press Shutter fully to capture the image.

Using the Zoom Function

Use the zoom wheel to zoom in or out. The camera uses optical zoom first, then digital zoom. The zoom indicator shows the current zoom status.
