| Problem | Solution |
| Camera will not turn on | 1. Battery not properly installed: Remove and reinstall batteries. 2. Insufficient battery voltage: Use new batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries. Rechargeable batteries with lower voltage are not recommended. |
| Flash will not fire | 1. Flash set to OFF: Set to Auto or On. 2. Flash not fully charged: Wait for operation LED to turn off. 3. Low battery level: Change batteries. |
| Image is blurred / out of focus | 1. Subject out of focal range: Ensure subject is at least 1.5m away. 2. Camera moved: Hold camera steady while taking pictures. Hold steady until flashes fire twice (if flash is on). |
| Subject in recorded image is too dark | Insufficient light: Set flash to On or adjust exposure compensation to positive (+). |
| Flickering on LCD screen or recorded image | Incorrect frequency setting: Check anti-flicker frequency (50Hz or 60Hz) for fluorescent lighting. |
| Picture download problem | Windows 98SE: Install camera driver first. Ensure USB mode is set to MSDC before connecting. Windows 2000/ME/XP: Camera recognized as plug & play. Disconnect safely using the USB icon. |
| Flash disk does not display images | Camera loads two drives: external SD/MMC and internal memory. If drive names conflict, reassign drive letters via Disk Management. |
