Loading the Camera: Ensure the camera is shaded from direct sunlight. Open the back by lifting the top catch. Remove the cone by pulling out the winding knob. Note its position for re-inserting with a new film. Thread the paper leader of the new film onto the empty spool, ensuring the red side is out and the paper rolls correctly. Re-insert the cone, aligning the winding knob with the spool's slot. Close and clasp the back. Wind until the first exposure number appears in the lower window. Taking Snapshots: Hold the camera firmly, pointed at the subject, which should be at least eight feet away. Locate the subject in the viewfinder. Press the shutter release. To avoid blur, hold the camera steady against your body and hold your breath until the shutter clicks. Time Exposures: For dim light or indoor shots, place the camera on a stable surface. Pull out the time bar. Press and hold the shutter release for the desired exposure duration, then release. Use Agfa Plenachrome Film for best results. Full-Size Pictures: Ensure the wings on the cone are positioned as shown in Illustration Three. Use only the lower red window for exposure numbers. Half-Size Pictures: Convert the camera by adjusting the cone wings as shown in Illustration Four. Use both red windows, advancing the film twice for each exposure number. Remember to advance until figure 8 is in the upper window, but no picture can be obtained when figure 8 is in the upper window.
