GETTING READY TO SEW

Connecting the Machine to the Power Supply

  • Make sure voltage and frequency match the machine's specifications.
  • Fit the nonreversible plug into the cord socket and plug into the power supply.

Foot Control

  • Sewing speed is controlled by the foot pedal.
  • Pressing harder increases speed.

Sewing Light

  • Located behind the face plate.
  • Remove face plate by turning screw counter-clockwise.
  • To replace bulb: Turn left to remove, turn right to replace.

Extension Table (Accessory Storage Box)

  • Provides added sewing surface, removable for free arm sewing.
  • To attach: Push table towards machine, align pins.
  • To remove for free arm sewing: Pull table away from machine.

To Snap On and Snap Off the Presser Foot

  • To snap off: Raise needle to highest position, raise presser foot, press lever on foot holder.
  • To snap on: Place foot, align pin under groove, lower foot holder to lock.

Changing Needles

  • Switch off and unplug the machine.
  • Undo needle clamp screw, remove old needle.
  • Insert new needle with flat side away, push up fully, tighten screw.
  • Thread the needle.
  • Reconnect and switch on.
